Choosing your Tablet

There are so many different tablets - how do you choose the right one for you? By answering some simple questions, you can get a good idea of what's suitable. 

Choose between the following two options:

1: Ordinary tablet

No display
You control the cursor on your screen by moving the pen over the tablet. The pen replaces your mouse. This option is suitable for all applications.

2: Tablet with built-in screen

With display
The tablet has a built-in LCD screen. This means that the cursor sits directly underneath the tip of the pen. Choose this option if you want to do free-hand drawing or handwriting on your computer, or you want to give presentations.

1: Normal screen size

Small size
You use a laptop or your screen is not larger than 24 inches.

2: Large screen size

Big size
Your screen is larger than 24 inches or you use more than one screen.

1: Giving Presentations

No graphical
You want to give presentations to groups of people, allowing them to see what you do on the tablet via a projector. Or you want to perform handwriting on your computer.

2: Graphical work

Yes graphical
You want to draw on your tablet as though you were drawing on paper, keeping all the advantages of working digitally on a computer.

1: Normal use

Normal use
Your tablet is for use at home or in an office or to alleviate your RSI.

2: Professional use

Professional use
As part of your job, you work at a computer as, for example, a designer, architect, game developer or photographer.

A Small or Medium size tablet would be the natural choice.
The Bamboo/Intuos series keeps things simple; the Intuos 5/Intuos Pro series offers
more advanced features and larger sizes.
